Delete Your QuizToucan Account & Data

QuizToucan, published by Emerald Toucan Technologies, LLC, lets parents create an account to manage their children's educational challenges and earned screen time. This page explains how to request deletion of your account and all associated data, what is deleted, and how long deletion takes.

Option 1 — Delete inside the app

Delete your entire account (parent + all children)

Open QuizToucan and sign in.
Go to Settings (enter your parent PIN).
Tap Delete Account.
Confirm. Your parent account and every child profile and its data are removed.

Delete a single child's data (keep your account)

Open QuizToucan and sign in.
On the dashboard, tap Manage Profiles (enter your parent PIN).
Select the child and tap Delete.
That child's profile and all of their data are removed; your account and any other children remain.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email privacy@emeraldtoucantech.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account." We verify the request against your account email and process it within the timeframe below.

What data is deleted

Parent account: email address, sign-in record, hashed password, consent records, your list of locked apps, and settings.
Child profiles: first name, age group, avatar, quiz answers and accuracy, screen time earned, gamification data (XP, levels, badges, streaks), learning schedules, and device-time bookings.

What is kept, and for how long

        When you delete your account (or a child profile) in the app, all
        associated data is deleted immediately. Email
        requests are completed within 30 days. We do not retain child data
        after deletion, and we do not sell or share it.
      

The only exception is copies in our database provider's encrypted backups, which expire within 30 days. Accounts with no activity for 24 months are deleted automatically, the same way. We keep no other personal data beyond what is necessary to provide the service.
